what to wear
LOOKING YOUR BEST FOR THE CAMERA
There are no set-in-stone rules for what to wear to a photo shoot. However, there are a few suggestions and guidelines you'll want to consider when picking out your outfits for your big day! Keep in mind that a great photo shoot doesn't happen by accident--it's thought out and planned down to every last detail. Wear something you love! You want to feel comfortable during the photoshoot and express yourself and your personality.
Couples and Families: A little coordination can go a long way! This doesn't mean you need to go buy matching Christmas sweaters, but it does mean to plan ahead. Find a color palette that you all like and have fun with it.
Ladies: Dresses, pencil skirts, or jeans with a cute top are always great! Your favorite heels, flats, or tall boots will be perfect.
Guys: Button ups, plain tees, blazers, khakis or jeans will make you look wonderful!
Treat yourself to a new outfit and bring your favorite ones with you too!
what not to wear
Avoid busy patterns that strain the eyes; they add weight and generally draw attention to the clothing rather than to you.
If you do choose a pattern, keep in mind that stripes, plaid, and floral typically do not mesh well together. If your loved one is wearing plaid, you'll look great in solid.
You know your skin tone and what looks best on you better than anyone else! Make sure to base your neutral colored clothing according to your skin tone.
Avoid logos and large company branding that detracts from the focal point: YOU!
Unless you're having senior portraits or a themed shoot, be careful wearing jerseys or shirts with distracting numbers, names, or logos.
